Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about your next flight.

Do I need a license to fly the drones sold on DroneFly?

Licensing requirements depend on your local aviation authority and the weight of the drone. Most of our recreational drones under 250g do not require a pilot's license, but we recommend checking FAA or EASA regulations before your first flight.

What is your return policy for opened electronics?

We offer a 30-day return policy. If the drone has been flown, it must be returned in its original packaging without any physical damage or firmware modifications to qualify for a full refund.

How long does shipping take for high-capacity batteries?

Due to safety regulations regarding LiPo batteries, these items must be shipped via ground transportation. Standard delivery typically takes 5-7 business days within the continental United States.

Does my drone purchase include a warranty?

Yes, all new drones come with a 1-year manufacturer warranty covering internal hardware defects. We also offer optional 'DroneFly Care' plans that cover accidental damage and water recovery.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX), PayPal, and financing options through Affirm for qualifying high-end professional equipment.

Are your drones compatible with both iOS and Android?

The majority of our flight control systems and apps are compatible with both iOS and Android devices. Please check the 'Technical Specifications' tab on the product page for specific OS version requirements.
